GUNS N' ROSES will be returning to our country next year. Whether it's to relive the classics or hoping to hear something new, this promises to be one of next year's big events in Portugal.
GUNS N' ROSES are about to announce another European tour for 2025 and the route will stop in Portugal. The band led by Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan - and whose line-up is completed today with Ricard Fortus on guitar, Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese on keys and Frank Ferrer on drums - will perform at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra on 6 June 2025, as part of the group's new world tour, which will also take in Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Istanbul, Munich and London, among others.
Slash has guaranteed that they will start work on a new project - but we don't know yet if it will be presented in Coimbra. Speaking to Loudwire Nights in June, the 59-year-old said that 2025 ‘will be entirely dedicated to Guns N’ Roses’. ‘We're creating various things. I think there will be a small tour in the summer of next year.’
Coldplay also played in Coimbra: the British group gave four concerts in the stadium with a capacity of 50,000 spectators. The Rolling Stones, U2, George Michael and Madonna have also performed there.
